Install AkashicLink

Setting up AkashicLink on your Google Chrome browser could not be any simpler.

Simply visit https://www.akashiclink.com, and click on the download button indicated by the blue arrow.
This will direct you to the Chrome Web Store, where you can click "Add to Chrome" to add the extension to your browser.

After successfully adding AkashicLink to your browser, you're all set to create your unique AkashicLink Account.

Create or Import an AkashicLink Account

Upon installing, you will be met with the following screen.

Begin by reviewing our Terms of Use. After reading and agreeing to the terms, check the box, and then you'll be presented with two options:

Create your Account
Import Account

Create you Account: Creating an Akashic Account that store, send, and receive digital assets. During this setup, a private key and seed phrase is generated, serving as the user's unique access to the account. It's crucial to follow the designated steps carefully, ensuring the safety and confidentiality of the cryptographic keys, which are fundamental for managing and safeguarding one's cryptocurrency holdings.

Import Account: Importing a previous AkashicLink Account - the process of bringing an existing account's information, private keys or seed phrases, into a new account. This can be done for various reasons, including transitioning to a more secure account or accessing funds from a different device. It's essential to exercise caution and adhere to security best practices during the import process to safeguard the integrity of the cryptocurrency holdings.

Create your Account

Upon selecting "Create your Account," you will be directed to a page where you need to create your password. This step is crucial for ensuring the security and authenticity of your account. Once you input your password, you will progress to the next step. This password serves as an additional layer of protection for the creation of your account.

After correctly setting a password and confirming it, AkashicLink will generate your personalised account. This ensures a secure and unique space for managing your digital assets.
In the subsequent step, users are required to record a 12-word Secret Recovery Phrase for the newly created account. It's crucial to emphasize that these phrases are accessible only once, specifically on this page. We strongly advise users to securely back up these phrases, preferably in a location external to their mobile or any digital devices, to mitigate risks in the event of a security breach.

Select "Reveal Recovery Phrase" located at the bottom left to unveil the phrases. You now have the option to either write down the 12 words in a secure location or utilize the "Copy to clipboard" button for convenience. While the copy function is provided for ease of use, we highly recommend users manually jot down the phrases for enhanced security.
After memorisation, you will encounter the following page, prompting you to enter the missing Recovery Phrases to finalise your account setup. This step ensures the accuracy of your phrases, adding an extra layer of security for future account recovery or importing. Once confident in the correctness of your phrases, click "Confirm" to proceed to the next step. If uncertain, you can click "Go Back" to review your 12-word Recovery Phrase.

Fantastic! Your account setup is now finished. A quick reminder: AkashicLink cannot recover your Secret Recovery Phrases once lost, and it will never request for your Secret Recovery Phrase. Do not share your Secret Recovery Phrase with anyone. Once you acknowledge these conditions, simply press "Got it!" to proceed.

Import Account

If you already have a pre-existing AkashicLink, you can import it here. After completing the initial steps of reviewing our Terms of Use, simply click on "Import Account."

In here, 2 options are presented to you, you can choose either to enter:

KeyPair
12-Word Recovery Phrase

KeyPair: the KeyPair is the private key that is unique to every account address. The private key is a secret, alphanumeric string that allows the owner of the account to access and control the funds associated with the corresponding public address. While the public address (often referred to as a public key) is shared with others to receive funds, the private key must be kept confidential. Access to the private key grants control over the associated cryptocurrency, so it is crucial to keep it secure and private. We'll address the location of this KeyPair later in the account.

12-Word Recovery Phrase: This comprises a distinctive 12-word recovery phrase provided during the initial account creation. As emphasized earlier, access to these phrases is a one-time occurrence, confined to the account's creation. If you don't possess these phrases, the KeyPair can be utilized as an alternative.

KeyPair

After opting for the KeyPair choice, the initial action is to input your KeyPair, a sequence of 64 characters. Once the correct KeyPair is entered, click "Confirm" to proceed.

Upon successfully verifying your account with the KeyPair, AkashicLink will ask you to create a password for the account. The password will only be stored locally on your device, meaning each time you import an account you can create a different password. If you've executed these steps accurately, AkashicLink will commence importing your account.

12-Word Secret Recovery Phrase

Opt for the 12-Word Recovery Phrase option by clicking the "12-Words" button. This will direct you to a page where you must enter all 12 words in the precise order and with case sensitivity, just as when you initially created your account.

After successfully confirming your Recovery Phrases, AkashicLink will ask you to create a password for the account. The password will only be stored locally on your device, meaning each time you import an account you can create a different password. If you've executed these steps accurately, AkashicLink will commence importing your account.

Dashboard

Upon launching the application for the first time, you will encounter the "Welcome back!" screen. Here, select the account you wish to log in to and enter your password. A successful login would bring you to the main Dashboard.

In the main dashboard, you will see there are a several functions for you to utilise.

Account Selection

Users can choose to switch between multiple accounts that they have imported, within the same device. You would go through the same process of inputing your password and logging in. You can also remove any unwanted accounts in this tab.

Copy Address

Copy your Akashic Address for convenience.

Refresh

Refresh the status of your account. If you have received funds, NFTs or waiting for a pending transaction, you can utilise this button to refresh the account status.

Settings

These settings are personalized for users. Additionally, security options are available, allowing users to back up their KeyPair and delete their account if needed.

General

Navigate to Settings -> General , and you'll discover personalised options. Within this page, you can select your:

Language
Theme
Hide Small Balance: this option allows you to hide any transaction that are smaller than the amount equivalent to 1 USDT.

Security

Security options are available, allowing users to back up their KeyPair or change their password if needed.

KeyPair Backup: initially, input your password; if the correct password is entered, AkashicLink will reveal your KeyPair. This KeyPair is essential for recovering or importing your Akashic Address onto a new device.

Change Password: upon successfully changing your password, user will be redirected to the login page for extra security.

Auto Lock

In this tab, users can choose the Auto Lock timer, which determines the duration the app can remain idle before redirecting the user back to the login page.

About Us

In About Us, you can find all the additional information available about AkashicLink.

Send

Transferring funds with AkashicLink is incredibly simple. To begin, select the cryptocurrency you wish to send — for instance, in this case, we're sending USDT (ETH).

Initiate the process by clicking on the "Send" button; this action will guide you to the subsequent page.
Enter the Amount in the amount field.
In the "Send to" field, there are 2 options for you to input:
1. Move funds between Akashic Addresses by inputting an Akashic Address or an AkashicAlias, the most cost-effective, efficient, and secure choice. AkashicLink applies a flat fee of 0.1 USDT for each transaction, regardless of the amount.
2. Transfer funds externally from AkashicLink by providing an address that is not an Akashic Address. Keep in mind that sending this (Layer-1 transaction) will incur a gas fee.
Click "Next," and confirm in the next page, patiently wait for your transaction to be processed.

Fees

For every transaction you perform within Akashic Chain (Layer-2 transaction), AkashicLink will incur a nominal fee. This does not include any Layer-1 transactions.

Deposit

To add funds to your AkashicLink, simply click "Deposit" after choosing the specific cryptocurrency you intend to deposit. In our example, we are depositing Ethereum (ETH).

Initiate the process by copying the Public Address of Ethereum in your AkashicLink.
Copy and paste this address into the wallet from which you are sending funds. After your deposit is confirmed, your funds will be displayed along with the corresponding Activity.

Activity

You might have observed that the Activity tab displays the two most recent transactions. However, if you wish to access additional transaction details, simply click "See More" to view the complete list.

If you want to view the individual transaction in detail, click into one and it shall show you more details. You would be able to see the Status, Chain, Tx Hash, From and To of your transaction.

NFT

Here is where you can review the NFTs you possess, each associated with your AkashicAlias. An AkashicAlias can serve as a substitute for the lengthy string of characters in your Akashic address, allowing you to deposit funds more conveniently. Below we will briefly demonstrate how to connect your Alias to your Akashic Address.

Navigate to a specific NFT, and it will lead you to the subsequent page. On this page, activate the toggle located near the bottom, labeled "Link your Alias to your Akashic Address." By doing so, you can now receive funds through inputting the associated Akashic Alias within an AkashicLink.

If you plan to transfer that Alias to another AkashicLink user, you must first disable the link between your Akashic Address and the Alias, and then proceed to initiate the transfer.
